Responding to the gift of mercy we've been given through faithful generosity

Why We Give

Why We Give

Why give?

We give as a response to the mercy we’ve received from God through Jesus. Our giving isn’t to fulfill an obligation or to earn favor; it’s an act of worship, flowing from a heart that honors Jesus. When we give, we reflect the generosity we’ve received. This pleases God and deepens our faith. Generosity shapes us to be more like Jesus, teaching us to trust God and surrender all we have to Him, knowing that everything we possess is a gift from His hand.

IRA Distributions

Giving from your IRA is a great way to support Timshol, especially to satisfy a required minimum distribution. **IRA distribution giving, often referred to as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), is a tax-advantaged way for individuals to donate directly from their Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) to a qualifying charity. This type of giving allows IRA owners over a certain age to contribute directly to charity, often fulfilling their Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) requirement without increasing their taxable income.
